Digital illustrations used for promoting, advertising, or selling a product are considered commercial art. Commercial art is significantly more expensive than art for personal use: the cost includes the research, designing, and redesigning of the work (a process which can take months) as well as the right to use my work for commercial purposes.

The pricing of commercial art varies on a case to case basis because of many factors, including the complexity of the project and the client's budget.
